Typical Applications

Perovion BPO PA-BT is used as a curing initiator in paste-form unsaturated polyester resin systems, operating through radical generation to initiate crosslinking of the resin matrix. At processing temperatures up to 80°C, it is used with an aromatic tertiary amine accelerator; above 80°C, no accelerator is required. The product has been developed primarily for the putty market, where paste-form peroxides offer handling and dispensing advantages over granule or liquid formulations.

Typical end-use applications include automotive body filler and putty compounds, marine filler and repair materials, filled polyester composite systems, and general-purpose polyester resin curing in tube-dispensed or cartridge-format products. Perovion BPO PA-BT is particularly suited to high-filler resin systems where consistent cure is required regardless of moisture exposure.
